We have successfully renewed our IS-BAO Stage 3 certificate for our Stuttgart operations for another three years!
But what exactly does that mean?
What is IS-BAO?
IS-BAO stands for “International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations” and is a globally recognized standard developed specifically for business aviation. It provides a clear framework for establishing safety and operational processes and implementing a Safety Management System (SMS). The goal is to minimize risks and maximize safety at all levels of business aviation.
Who is behind it?
IS-BAO is backed by the IBAC (International Business Aviation Council). The IBAC is an independent organization that promotes safety and quality in business aviation worldwide. The IBAC develops standards, trains organizations, and conducts audits.
Why Stage 3?
IS-BAO is divided into three stages that assess the maturity and integration of the Safety Management System:
Stage 1: Confirmation that the SMS infrastructure is established.
Stage 2: Evidence that safety risks are actively managed.
Stage 3: Verification that safety management is fully integrated into business processes and that a positive safety culture is practiced.
The successful renewal for another three years confirms that we continuously live and implement the highest safety standards.
For us, this certificate is more than just an audit result: it is a promise to our customers, partners, and crews that safety and quality are not goals, but daily practice.
