IOSA is IATA’s Operational Safety Audit and a global safety and quality standard for commercial airlines.
Stuttgart, 16th May 2014: IOSA is IATA’s Operational Safety Audit and a global safety and quality standard for commercial airlines. The IOSA audit reviews the operational safety and quality assurance of an airline’s operational management and control systems. IOSA-registered airlines are transparent in their processes and verifiably guarantee the highest safety standards. For years, many scheduled service and charter airlines have considered this audit to be a general standard requirement, though this is not the case for business jet operators. While a total of 381 commercial airline companies worldwide subject themselves to these rigorous demands, there are only a few business jet operators that do the same.
DC Aviation has been raising the bar in this area. In February of 2014, five auditors reviewed over 1,000 standards and processes at DC Aviation in all areas related to aviation law and regulations ranging from technology and safety to quality management and flight operations. Again, this year, many new questions had to be answered. This, however, did not change the outcome – as in past years, DC Aviation completed the audit with a very positive assessment.
“Our goal is to far surpass the basic, legally prescribed domestic, and international quality and safety requirements,” said Michael Kuhn, Managing Director of DC Aviation. “The IOSA standard is the leading and most sophisticated audit available”, he added.
Having been awarded the IOSA certificate, DC Aviation remains the only in Germany founded operator of business jets that, for many years, has been proven to comply with the same high safety standards at the same demanding level that have been established for commercial airlines. For this reason, the quality and safety standards of DC Aviation far surpass the basic, legally mandated domestic and international requirements.
