22.08.2011 - DC Aviation increases its fleet by five additional long-range jets

DC Aviation, Germany’s leading business jet operator, was able to expand its fleet by five long-range jets within the first half of the year and will continue to develop its market position with a Gulfstream G550, two Bombardier Global aircraft, and a Challenger 605, etc. Michael Kuhn, CEO of DC Aviation, states:  “With the expansion of the fleet and the resulting additional capacities, we are able to continue providing the highest level of service for the growing charter demand in this sector. Simultaneously, we are also obviously pleased in particular by the trust placed in us in the field of aircraft management.” DC Aviation now has a total of 16 long-range jets and 15 mid-range and short-range jets. With that, DC Aviation continues specializing in the long-range and wide-body segment.

DC Aviation offers complete scope of business services from aircraft management and aircraft chartering to the maintenance of business jets. The young fleet includes the modern short-range jet, the Learjet 40, mid and long-range jets such as the Gulfstream G450/G550 and also the VVIP Airbus 319 CJ. With four VVIP/VIP Airbus A319 CJ aircraft, the company is one of the largest operators of this type of aircraft worldwide.

In July of 2007, the company received the international certification - IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) - as the first German private jet provider and was recertified respectively in May of 2009 and 2011. The IOSA Certificate is considered to be the seal of quality for flight safety by the aviation industry worldwide and is issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in connection with an audit. A total of 371 airline companies worldwide subject themselves to these rigorous demands, but there are only a total of eight business jet operators that do the same, of which merely three are in Europe. With that, DC Aviation is the only German operator of business jets that, for years, has been able to attest to the highest safety standards at the demanding level established for airlines due to the IOSA certificate. For this reason, the quality and safety standards of DC Aviation far surpass the essential, legally prescribed domestic and international requirements.
